Asamblea por La Orotava, website for a grassroots municipal movement
Website for Asamblea por La Orotava, a grassroots municipal movement, with news, council motions, projects and documents for local residents.
Asamblea por La Orotava is a grassroots, community-led political movement in La Orotava (Tenerife): independent, open, plural and horizontal. It needed a website to publish its work at the town council and keep local people informed.
I built it on WordPress, with PHP and MySQL, and today it runs on Lienzo, my block-based WordPress theme.
What’s included:
- News, current affairs and press releases.
- Motions and questions tabled at council meetings.
- Its plan for the town and ongoing projects.
- Stories of La Orotava, useful documents and videos.
- Sign-up and login for people taking part in the assembly.
